Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP)

Program to support employers who hire youth (between the age of 15 and 30 inclusive) for agricultural related jobs.

Hello,

On behalf of the Hon. Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead, we would like to inform you that the Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP) is now open.  This program support employers who hire youth (between the age of 15 and 30 inclusive) for agricultural related jobs by providing funding for 50% of wages to a maximum of $14,000 for one employee. Projects may start as early as April 1, 2025 and end no later than March 31, 2026.

Important adjustments made to the 2025 Program:

* Employees who have previously been hired under the Youth Employment and Skills Program are not eligible.
* Employees must be hired as an employee under the organization’s payroll and required source deductions must be deducted from the employee’s pay (contracted employees are not eligible).

Applications from Indigenous applicants will be prioritized for the 2025-2026 program year.
